The Philadelphia Phillies and CBS Radio’s Talk Radio 1210 WPHT and SportsRadio 94 WIP said Monday they have signed a multiyear broadcast partnership for live play-by-play coverage of Phillies pre-season, regular season and post-season games. The new agreement begins this month with live coverage of the team’s spring training camp from Bright House Field in Clearwater, Fla. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Phillies radio announcers Scott Franzke and Larry Andersen will continue to provide commentary of the games.
  • Quick chat with appRenaissance’s Bob Moul
After writing up the news that Bob Moul had joined appRenaissance, I talked to Moul and was able to ask him some questions about the company and why he decided to become its president and CEO. He said the company, which is based in Old City, develops custom and commercial mobile apps. The former are apps it builds for customers to use themselves; the latter are apps it builds for customers to market commercially under the customers’ names. AppRenaissance also develops infrastructure, which is technology used to build mobile apps...
  • Philadelphia Auto Show attendance for 2012 second-best in history
The Philadelphia Auto Show said Monday it recorded the second-best attendance in the event’s history. Attendance was 252,194 for the nine-day show, including a one-day high of 57,331 for Saturday, Feb. 4. Only 2004’s show had better numbers. “Think about it, if we were the Phillies, our total attendance this year would equate to selling out Citizens Bank [Park] 5.5 times in 9 days in February,” said Kevin Mazzucola, director of the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia, which hosts the show...
  • Former Boomi CEO Moul leading appRenaissance
Philadelphia-area technology executive Bob Moul has selected his next venture — a mobile-application developer based in Old City. Moul was named chairman and CEO of appRenaissance last week. The company was founded by its president and chief technology officer, Scott Wasserman, who is also a member of its board of directors. Moul’s last full-time paying gig was as president and CEO of Boomi, the developer of application integration software that was bought by Dell in late 2010 for an undisclosed sum...
